Waiters… Friend of Foe?
I have a hard time with this question. I do love most of the waiters I have had the opportunity to work with over the years, however I have also wanted to ring their necks, each one! I get it YOUR table or tables are the most important thing in your world at that given moment, But I however , am dealing with 6 of YOU, in that same moment! There is only one me ( cook) ! There are 4 to 6 of YOU ( waiters ), get it now? I have 6 people that have 4 tables each ( at least), all expecting me to stop what I am doing to listen to them describe some woman’s salad in great detail! I don’t have time for this… ring it in correctly, or write it down!! Quit bothering me!!!
I do really get along with the people I work with on a personal level, but when the sh-t is hitting, the fan is always pointing at me, and that makes me an angry and stinky man!!
Luckily, I have learned to take it… like water off a ducks back!
I just hope all the waiters have as well!
The Krause family arrives today, so Thanksgiving is almost here!
