We got stuffed yesterday… Lets get sauced today!!!!
If done right your stuffing should be dry, and need a sauce ( or gravy ) to make it sing! why you ask? well If your stuffing is dry, It will be crispy, therefor have a good mouth feel, and the gravy will have something to complement, not fight with! Wet, mushy stuffing is like bad baby food! If your turkey is moist and your stuffing dry then your gravy will be that perfect blending element.
Again follow the same path or theme you started with your turkey, and stuffing, don’t try to blend too many flavors. This, like in painting will only muddy up your end result and leave your guest wondering where you were going in the first place.
Here I have a site that gives you plenty of options, find the one that best fits your turkey and adjust it if necessary to your dinner. I understand if you feel I am “playing it safe” by not giving you a recipe of my own, and you are right! Taste is a very personal thing and since I don’t know you on a personal level I feel I would be doing you a great injustice pushing my personal preferences on you. I want to give you the tools needed to find your own way, not just mine. If you wanted me to cook your dinner for you, you would hire me to do just that. This way you can impress your friends, and family yourself, with a little guidance from a friend.
Tomorrow I will be giving you some of my recipes, For mashed potatoes! I love mashed potatoes, and I have some very good advice on how to make them the bell of the ball!
Until tomorrow!
James
