I think It’s time to focus on the real Thanksgiving! Lets eat!!!

Well my family takes Thanksgiving very seriously. My Aunt throws a huge dinner party every year, inviting at least 12 people ( which was a small gathering of friends ) to 35 people. I can tell you first hand that is a whole lot of work! I normally go over early and help her finish up with the food, and she has this man that she hires every year to come over and help, Michael, serves, cleans, and helps set up, and break down, every year for the last 12 years! He is just as much a part of our family now as I am, if not more. I normally hang out with him in the kitchen instead of with the others, I know them all, but I really don’t fit in. They are all in the fashion industry, very successful, rich, and Jewish.  I don’t fit at all. They are all wonderful people, and consider me part of their family, but I just have nothing in common with them to talk about.

Over the next week or so I want to discuss the traditional thanksgiving feast. I will explore the different dishes, and try to give some sound advice on how to make them stress free! If any of you have any questions about a certain dish, by all means ask! I will respond to all questions as quickly as possible, otherwise I will just plug through until We are ready to sit down at the table and give thanks for all that is good in our lives.

I normally make dessert for them, My Uncil has to have an apple pie, I also make a fresh pumpkin, or sweet-potato pie, and if I have the time… some type of cream pie.

I want to start with the Turkey! Then move on to the stuffing, cranberries, Yams, and so on!

So tomorrow I will give some basic advice about cooking the perfect bird!

till then,

James
