What a good day to stay in bed!

Today is my first official day of my “quit smoking campaign”, It’s Monday, and tomorrow is the Election for our new President! I just wanted to roll over, turn off the alarm, and fall back into the beautiful world I had created in my dream! Oh yea lets not forget we just had daylight savings as well. I don’t want to go off on a tangent today, instead I want to discuss staying in bed, or at least allowing someone else too!

Breakfast in Bed!

This has always been one of my favorite things to do for the one I love! You really do become their servant, waiting on their every need ,or desire. While this is an unhealthy “norm” in a relationship, It is the ultimate “exception”. Nothing shows Your love to your partner like a day of pampering, and catering. Starting the minute they first open their eyes to greet a new day, going all the way to tucking them in at night with a loving kiss. They may be the King or Queen for that day, but you will be their prince, or princess charming for quite some time to come! And believe me, you will be rewarded handsomely!

Now lets get back to the breakfast…

First make sure you have a good breakfast tray, this is very important! If your partner is uncomfortable, or worried about spilling the tray it will take all the fun out of it.

Make sure they have ample pillows to prop themselves up with so they are sitting comfortably, and not straining to sit up.

Be sure to include their favorite morning activity, The newspaper, news on Television, music, you get the point. It’s all about them!

The menu:

It doesn’t have to be limited to their favorite breakfast, although that is a good and safe place to start. You also need to think of functionality! I mean, you need to consider how the dish will play in bed, you don’t want to serve something that is going to be hard to eat, or messy. Toast for example is a breakfast staple, but in bed? Pancakes, again the syrup could cause a sticky mess! Most food is a bit messy so use a table cloth over the sheets and under the try to catch any crumbs or drips. This should solve the problem.

Beverages need to be served in over sized cups or glasses, this will prevent the liquid from splashing out every time someone moves.

And set up a side station in the room with all your backups, and refills, you don’t want to be leaving the room, to get more coffee! Rather spend this time talkin, about the plans for the rest of the day, Fond memory’s, whatever, just enjoy each other and ease into the rest of your day.

But most important, try not to wake the intended Royal until…

Breakfast is served!

Enjoy,

James
