It’s time for the trivia answers on Cuyes!
Well, who got it right?
No one responded!
So this was a bad idea!
I will say even though I felt honored, and proud to share in this experience with them, the meat wasn’t to my taste. It is very oily, and sweet, and on the tough side. I would eat it again without restrain, with the right people, but I won’t go buy it and fix it for myself any time soon. Eating a household pet has never appeared on my life’s to do list, and I don’t want to change that. As a chef, however if it is your culture and you want to bring me in out of respect, I will try anything once, out of respect for you!
Once again I have gotten no response to my Trivia question, So I feel I need to drop this aspect of my blog. It doesn’t open the dialog like I wanted It to, or even cause a simple response. So I will not be doing it again! I am sorry, but I see no need to continue this venture. I will however do my best to explain the inner workings of my head! My profession, My life! These aspects seem to get more of a readers response! I want to give you what you want and not bore you! I may pick it up again if there is some interest shown.
Until then I will just keep writing about my life and experiences!
I hope you enjoy it!
James

It seems a shame to drop it now: sometimes these things take a while to get off the ground. Perhaps you could bring it back in a while, when you’ve got a more vocal audience.
I wouldn’t have been able to comment without cheating anyway. What I don’t know about food could fill a library.
I thank you for your response, and I do want to bring it back once as you so rightly put it “get a more vocal audience”. My following just isn’t large enough yet to warrant this type of entry.
P.S. that is what Google is for! I don’t only want to test my readers, but educate them as well. Look it up, I don’t care, It’s all in fun and knowledge building.
Just to let you know Cuyes is Guinea pig!
It makes up for almost 50% of Peru’s animal protein consumed,
and is served in Ecuador for special occasions!
