I am a Chef, but I am an odd Chef! I don’t like to eat out!
Now this may seem like a complete misstatement to you. It is however the truth. I do not like to go out to dinner and I don’t cook at home!
I love to entertain. I love to cater parties. I am designed to be the “behind the scenes” guy. I love making others happy, not myself.
It’s true I don’t really like going out to dinner, not because I don’t like food, but I don’t like to have a conversation with someone who is trying to enjoy a meal! Going out to dinner is just that… lets enjoy the food, not try and get to know each other! And whats the deal of a movie as a date? We can’t talk, I have no time to find out your likes or dislikes. I would much rather walk through a park with you, or go to a museum, or do something active. Hell even a concert is more social than a movie!
I will say a quiet dinner at home is very romantic, therefor a great date. In this instance. I will cook at home with pleasure! Then We can make the decision whether We are going out to have some fun, or staying in to do the same! There is no third wheel ( the waiter), no crowd, no pretense! You can be yourself, and be honest with the other party, They will get to know you better , and you them as well.
So if you are thinking about asking someone out. Think of these things… Are they someone who is going to be put on display, or someone who you want to truly know better? Plan your next date with the concern of the other person in mind. What do they want, not what do you want! You might just get what you want in the end!
With that being said, No one person will ever give you everything you want, but you will find someone that can give you most of what your looking for! Don’t turn them away because of something that can be worked on! work on it!
I don’t like to eat out, but I need someone who loves it when I cook for them! Even if they don’t like exotic food, I can cook simple food… They can enjoy it… We’re both happy!
