German beer purity laws follow up!

What are the German purity laws? Reinheitsqebot (German)
It Deals with the ingredients you can use in the making of beer:
Water, Barley, Hops that it nothing else!
Also how much you can charge for beer:
1 Pfennig per mass( bowl of liquid) ?I don’t know either? sounds cheap though!
To ensure quality and save the more valuable grains like rye, and wheat for bread.
When were they first introduced?
They were first Proposed in 1487, The one most people speak of today was originated in Ingolgtadt, Bavaria on April 23, 1516, by Duke Wihelm the 4th.
why?
The Main reason was to save the more valuable grains for bread production, regulating the price was secondary and didn’t last long!
How do they differ today?
In the 1800’s Louis Pasteur discovered Yeast and its importance in fermentation, so Yeast was added to the list of ingredients.
How do they differ from other countries?
I fell short on this one. Here in America I don’t even think we have such laws at all, other than the alcohol by volume, which isn’t even a law, It’s more like a guideline. most beers have 4% to 6%, but some go as high as 20% or more!
